Diala Toure, PhD

Appraisal Foundation Board-qualified Appraiser
Diala Toure is the owner and principal of Appraisals of Value, LLC. An independent personal property appraiser, Dr. Toure received her Certificate in Appraisal Studies from SUNY Purchase College (in conjunction with the American Society of Appraisers) and her Doctorate degree in History of Art from the University of the Sorbonne in Paris.
An expert in African art, Diala is currently a candidate for accreditation. Dr. Toure appraises private, institutional, and corporate collections. She consulted with world-class museums such as the National Museum of African and Oceanic Art in Paris, the Barnes Foundation, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, to name a few. She lectured at elite institutions (University of Pennsylvania, Bryn Mawr College, University of California at Berkeley) and served as curator of collections at the James E. Lewis Museum of Art in Baltimore for several years.
Anna Ng
Appraisals of Value, LLC, Associate
Anna Ng is a collections and conservation professional whose practice bridges object care, archival stewardship, and legacy planning. She began her career as an art objects conservator specializing in decorative wood frames at the Palace of Westminster in London, UK, and has since built experience across museum, archival, and collections management contexts, including at the Museum of Chinese in America in New York City.
In recent years, she has worked alongside a private artist as a legacy specialist and collections manager, shaping and stewarding an archive for posterity and cultural preservation. Anna holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Conservation: Stone, Wood & Decorative Surfaces from City & Guilds of London Art School.
Imani Y. Haynes
Appraisals of Value, LLC, Associate
Imani Y. Haynes is a curator whose work engages contemporary art, Black study, and public history through exhibitions, research, and institutional storytelling. Most recently, she served as Curator and Interim Chief Curator at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture.
Her practice spans curatorial leadership, artist collaboration, and community-engaged interpretation, and she holds a B.A. in History from Savannah State University and an MFA in Curatorial Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is currently developing the Black Woman’s Museum a mobile museum displaying black women’s experience and impact both locally and globally.
